Was Katt Williams WRONG in his interview with Wanda Smith

I am absolutely going to make a post about Katt Williams comments about Tiffany Haddish and etc. But first I wanted to talk about Katt and Wanda.

I have been told that I am entertaining, but not for one second in my life have I thought about doing stand up comedy. I call myself a Backyard BBQ Comic. I can point out stuff and make fun of it, but actually story telling and punchlines. I’m not too sure of.  I’ve played the dozens and did the whole yo mama thing back in the day, but still would never call myself a stand up comic. I know my lane.

With all that being said, if going back and forth and playing the dozens is not your field, Wanda shouldn’t have stepped in the arena with Katt Williams. I don’t really know about other communities, but I know for a fact in the AFRICAN AMERICAN community, there are talented men and women that go back and forth with jokes. I’ve seen women beat up and tear down groups of men with jokes. And they’ve been funny as hell. There is a CD that came out in the 90s called Snaps: The Album, Vol. 1. On this CD, you had some of the freshest best up and coming comedians going in on each other. And yes there were women on there that was going in on the dudes as well. And some of the jokes were brutal, but no one played the victim.

Playing the dozens, joning, snappin’ is what Katt Williams does. He’s pretty good, he was on Wild N’ Out with Nick Cannon and did well on there, but got his ass handled to him too. Snappin’ on folks is like boxing and MMA, all it takes is one good hit and its all over. Wanda kept going with Katt and could have stopped at anytime, but it was going back and forth. Regardless of what was going on, that was her show, she could have stopped it way before Katt finished it.

Then after it was over and she knew she lost that bout, she wants to put some blame on Frank Ski. No Ma’am, as Frank said in the interview below, it was two comedians going at each other. It was all jokes. Redd Grant didn’t jump in there and say anything (Which usually happens in a roast session). He saw it was between Wanda and Katt. Wanda wanted Frank to save her when she continued to put herself in a situation. Now if it was a physical situation, of course Frank should jump in. If Katt started something for no reason, meaning going after her out of nowhere. Yes, Frank should speak up and tell Katt to chill and go to the next subject. But this was a battle between two comedians and in that situation someone was going to lose. It just happen to be Wanda.
